You have no job and, in fact, very little to fill your days with. Well, apart from getting on my wick, that is.
So do you
a) think to yourself "My word, my friendly local chemist will be closed for a day over Easter. I should prepare for this apocalyptic event by TAKING RESPONSIBILITY for MY MEDICATION, and making sure I order a script from the GP because it is MY MEDICATION and it is MY RESPONSIBILITY to take care for MYSELF"
b) Walk into your pissed-off tamping chemist at five to six the day before Good Friday and kick up a stink because you forgot to order YOUR OWN MEDICATION, and it is, apparently, my fault.

That's because our lovely nanny state has persuaded the public that they're too stupid to be responsible for anything. So, the direct consequence of treating people like sheep, is that they act like sheep. Baa.
Then again, the people you describe may have always been immensely stupid, government or no government.
But hey, no one's to blame. This is a no-blame culture.
I love modern Britain.
The flip side to this is the people who see you are closed for 2 extra days so go apeshit and get a script for EVERYTHING they have ever had from a doctor and then says "i'll be back in 5 minutes yeah?".
Listen you crazy fucking bitch, 5 minutes will not give time for 60 items to be filled and there is no way in hell you can use TWO FULL VENTOLIN INHALERS IN FOUR DAYS!!!!!!!! You only need the one, that extra script is a waste of money!!!!
I hate people who cause this clusterfuck every bank holiday then three months down the line bring it all back to be disposed of. Why do these people store up 14 boxes of crestor if they don't take it? Just cos it's on the fucking script doesn't mean you have to collect it numbnuts!!!!!
I wanted to stab so many people in the face today.
Ahhhhhhhh that feels so much better now
this is sparta!!!
I had as ton of idiots in between Good Friday and easter Monday suprised that teh surgery is, shock, close at easter. Like just about everybody else.
Did a few genuine emergency supplies but told a few to bugger off nicely. (I actually said they'd have to pay the full price for a Seretide which suddenly became less important)
Anyway, you aren't going to drop dead from missing two Simvastatin 40mg, are you?
